9 Amazing and Adorable Animated Movies for All Ages ...

By Corina

I think that nowadays you could really find a lot of exceptional, adorable and fun animated movies for all ages and that’s why I’m sure it will be very hard for me to choose just nine of them to write about in this little article. I guess I could say that I’m still a little child inside, and my friends and family would surely agree with this too. I always loved animated movies; they always managed to cheer me up no matter how upset I would be. All my trouble would disappear in an instant, just like magic. I love it how every time I watch one of those animated movies for all ages, I feel like a child again and sometimes that’s just exactly what I need to get back on my feet again. I hope you’ll like watching some of the animated movies I will tell about and that you’ll love feeling like a little you again, even if it will only be for a short while.

1 Finding Nemo (2003)

On iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/finding-nemo/id255295077

One of my all-time favorite animated movies for all ages is definitely Finding Nemo. Oh, how I love this one! It’s such a wonderful journey of self-discovery both for Nemo but especially for his father, and if I think about it, I could say even for Dory. It’s a very fun movie to watch, it’s very clever and the characters are really one of a kind. I heard it will be a sequel to this; I can wait to see it!

2 The Ice Age Movies (2002; 2006; 2009; 2012)

On iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/ice-age/id270201401

I’m sure that pretty much everyone has seen until now at least one of these four extremely fun animated movies. Even though the first movie had so many sequels, they were all very good and didn’t fail to rise to my expectations. I guess I could say that my favorite character is, of course Scrat, that extremely ambitious, never willing to give up, little squirrel. I wish I could be more like him sometimes!

3 The Madagascar Collection (2005; 2008; 2012)

On iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/au/movie/madagascar/id299026406

I really find all these three movies extremely amusing and to simply put it, they’re great good fun! Maybe some of you could say that this may be one of those movies more suited for children, but hey, who doesn’t wanna feel like a kid again from time to time? The only thing that these movies don’t have compared to the other ones, is the heartwarming story and in my opinion, in Madagascar it’s all about having fun and living your life as wild as you can. But, once again, who doesn’t like that?

4 Up (2009)

On iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/up/id322447599

I could really say that this movie is another masterpiece from Pixar. It’s extremely exciting, hilarious, heartwarming, adventurous and full of life. This movie is really special, it’s filled with great jokes and I’m sure you won’t be able to stop laughing, even after the movie is over. In contrast to all the other animated movies out there, this one is more emotional and you’d be surprised how many feelings it will wake up inside you. Enjoy it, I’m sure you’re gonna love it!

5 Wall-E (2008)

On iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/wall-e/id286533539

This is another absolutely charming movie from Pixar. I loved this movie so much, it’s simply a very inspirational film, extremely creative, the lines are so clever; it’s absolutely brilliant! I loved what one of the movie critics said about it: you'd have to be a machine for your heart not to melt. I guess that describes it best!

6 A Christmas Carol (2009)

On iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/a-christmas-carol-2009/id383304202

This is such a fun and beautiful reinterpretation of Charles Dickens’s classic tale. It also has Jim Carrey in the cast, so you can pretty imagine the rest! In my opinion, this is by far the best version of A Christmas Carol I ever saw and if you have the opportunity to see it in 3D, be sure not to miss it - the effects are truly incredible!

7 The Monsters Inc./University Movies (2001; 2013)

On iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/monsters-inc./id265727985

Oh, how I love the Monsters movies! I’m glad that the second one was finally released and, as I had expected, it definitely stood up to my expectations. I love how ingenious these movies are, and I especially adore the positive twist they give to the whole monster thing. Be sure not to miss them; the second one is in theaters right now!

8 Horton Hears a Who! (2008)

On iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/dr.-seuss-horton-hears-a-who!/id277500006

Another brilliant and very amusing Jim Carrey animated movie! I admire the way that the main character Horton the Elephant really struggles to defend a small community from everybody else who won't believe it exists. I love it how he sticks to his beliefs and of course, I agree with the central message of this movie - that every voice counts, no matter how small. It’s a very fun movie to watch so just relax and enjoy it!

9 The Shrek Movies (2001; 2004; 2007; 2010)

On iTunes at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/movie/shrek/id293170177

Who doesn’t love Shrek or Fiona, or especially Donkey? You must at least seen one of these movies, if, of course you’re not actually a huge fan of this collection. They’re nice and very witty family entertainment, they’re extremely funny and I’m sure you won’t stop laughing the entire time you’ll watch them. They’re definitely a must see and if you haven’t done that already, be sure to catch up! You won’t regret it!

I love animated movies, I always have and I always will, but I’m sure you figured that out until now. Do you like animated movies? What animated movies have you seen? Do you have any favorites among them? What other animated movies would you recommend me?
